Need an Official Docket or Record?
Here's where to route the requests most people ask about in LaPorte County:
- A docket sheet: run a case search through the statewide portal, or request the docket from the clerk of court
- A court date or setting: check the court calendar, or confirm the setting with the clerk of court
- Certified copies: order from the clerk of court, who is the keeper of the docket and the official record
- A specific case: look it up with a case search by party name or case number
- Court records and case files: see court records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case

The clerk also serves Michigan City court users at 300 Washington Street through 219-874-5611 Ext. 7729. General county hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; confirm the correct counter before visiting.
